Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to handover the original deeds viz., Document No.1684/1978, dated 04.11.1978, Document No.154/1979 dated 10.02.1979 and Document No.630 of 2009 on 12.12.2009, SRO, Kanchipuram to the petitioner within the time stipulated by this Hon'ble Court and consequently, direct the respondent to pay a compensation of Rs.6,00,000/- for an inordinate delay in handing over the title deeds to the petitioner along with the interest at the rate of 12% till the date of realization. 1/4

O R D E R
The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to handover the original deeds viz., Document No.1684/1978, dated 04.11.1978, Document No.154/1979 dated 10.02.1979 and Document No.630 of 2009 on 12.12.2009, SRO, Kanchipuram to the petitioner within the time stipulated by this Court and to consequently, direct the respondent to pay a compensation of Rs.6,00,000/- for an inordinate delay in handing over the title deeds to the petitioner along with the interest at the rate of 12% till the date of realization. 2.The learned counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent is ready to handover the documents available with the respondent and he handed over the documents available with the respondent to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.
3.In view of he above, no further order needs to be passed in this writ petition. In respect of compensation, liberty is granted to 2/4
the petitioner to work out the remedy before the competent civil Court in the manner known to law. The period during which the writ petition was pending before this Court is excluded for the purpose of limitation.
