Respondents Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent to provide the police protection on the complaints of the petitioner dated 07/10/2015 and 17/04/2017 by considering the earlier order passed by this Honourable Court in W.P.No.2618 of 1997 dated 26.04.1999 and W.P.No.20236 of 2006 dated 17.07.2006.

ORDER

It is the submission of the petitioner that since he had made complaint about the encroachment at Porur Rettai Lake, he has been receiving life threats from several persons.

2. In this connection, petitioner has also approached the Honourable Green Tribunal, Chennai wherein an observation was made that whenever was complaint made by him to the authority concerned, the same may be considered on its own merits. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The petitioner has also made a complaint dated 17.04.2017 to the 4th respondent. In these circumstances, petitioner is granted liberty to make a fresh representation to the 4th respondent seeking for police protection and on receipt of the same, the 4th respondent shall consider the representation on its own merits and pass orders within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With these observations the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
