ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence under Sections 8(c), 20(b) (ii) (B) Narcotic Drugs and psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 , in Cr.No.963 of 2020 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was in possession of 1 Kg and 200 grams of Ganja and the same was seized by the respondent police. Hence, the complaint.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is no way connected with the alleged offence and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Therefore, he prays to grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submits that the petitioner was in possession of 1 Kgs and 200 grams of Ganja. He further submits that there are 4 previous cases pending against the petitioner of similar nature. 5.Considering the fact that the seized contraband is of commercial quantity and there are 4 previous cases pending against the petitioner , this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.
