Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent herein to consider and pass orders on appeal dated 02.07.2018 preferred by the petitioner against the punishment of cut in pension.

ORDER

This writ petition is filed for the issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent herein to consider and pass orders on appeal dated 02.07.2018 preferred by the petitioner against the punishment of cut in pension.

2. According to the writ petitioner, he has made an appeal before the first respondent dated 02.07.2018, but till date, no orders have been passed and the same is pending. Hence he has filed the instant writ petition before this Court.

3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents submitted that the aforesaid appeal will be disposed of within the stipulated time fixed by this Court, provided the petitioner submits a copy of the appeal petition before the authority concerned.

4. In view of the above submissions, and considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in the writ petition, this Court is inclined to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's appeal dated 02.07.2018 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is needless to say that the petitioner shall submit a copy of the appeal petition along with this order copy before the first respondent.

5. With the above directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
