ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to issue appropriate directions to the respondent police herein, to register FIR, based on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 22.06.2021 and to take action against the accused persons named in the said complaint, in accordance with law.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that he had sent a complaint on 22.06.2021. Despite coginazable offence has been committed by the accused, no action taken to register FIR.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) has submitted that the Commissioner of Police on receipt of the complaint, forwarded the same to the Deputy Commissioner of Police. Thereafter, the case was forwarded to the regular police and also to the Assistant Commissioner of Police. Thereafter, the second respondent/the Inspector of Police, B1, North Beach Station, sent summons to the petitioner, but he had not responded to the said summons.

4. At this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is now at Bangalore and due to Covid-19 pandemic restriction, he is unable to move immediately from there.

5. In view of the above, petitioner shall appear before the second respondent/the Inspector of Police on 24.08.2021 and thereafter, if necessary.

6. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
