ORDER

(This case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences publishable under Sections 406 and 420 of IPC in Crime No.1127 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution, as per the defacto complainant Kavitha, is that the petitioner along with her husband/A1 conducted non-registered chit and cheated a sum of Rs.16,00,000/- from the defacto complainant. Hence the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and she has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that she has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner along with her husband/A1 conducted chit and cheated a sum of Rs.16 lakhs from the defacto complainant and they had also cheated other victims to a sum of Rs.87 lakhs. He would also submit that A1 is still in judicial custody.
