When the matter was listed for hearing on 12.08.2016, the learned counsel for the petitioner represented that they have handed over the papers to the petitioner and also gave change of vakalat for engaging some other counsel. In view of the submission made by the learned counsel for
the petitioner, Registry was directed to issue drafted notice to the petitioner. Pursuant to the order dated 12.08.2016, Registry sent a drafted notice to the petitioner, however, the same was returned unserved with an endorsement that the petitioner had vacated the premises. Hence, the matter was listed on 26.08.2016 and on 26.08.2016, the matter was adjourned to 29.08.2016 directing the Registry to print the name of the petitioner. When the matter was listed on 29.08.2016, though the name of the petitioner was printed in the cause list, none appeared for the petitioner. Hence, the matter was adjourned to today (i.e) 30.08.2016 under the caption 'for dismissal'. Today also, there is no representation for the petitioner. Hence, this Court has no other option, except to dismiss the Civil Revision Petition for non-prosecution.
2.Accordingly, the Civil Revision Petition stands dismissed for nonprosecution. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
