ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to execute the warrant dated 10.06.2022 made in C.C.No.791 of 2016, issued by the learned Metropolitan Magistrate, Fast Track Court II, Chennai against the first respondent.

2. The contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that as the warrant was issued on 10.06.2022, till date the second respondent police has not taken any steps in executing the warrant against the petitioner in the proceedings under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that they had already constituted a Special Team to locate the accused for executing the warrant and now they had located the accused.

4. This Court is of the view that the warrant itself was only issued on 10.06.2022, the petitioner has rushed before this Court without giving sufficient time to the respondent police, such approach by the petitioner is highly 2/4

deprecated by this Court.

5. Recording the submissions of the learned Additional Public Prosecutor, this Court is of the view that no further order is required in this case. Accordingly, this criminal original petition stands disposed of. No costs. 07.07.2022 dhk To
