In connection with the re-investigation by the CBI, the petitioner had made a representation dated 27.03.2017, requesting the second respondent to decline prosecution sanctioned. Since the representation has not been considered till date, the petitioner has approached this Court.

2. In view of the limited prayer sought for and without going into the merits of the petition and the representation dated 27.03.2017 there shall be a direction to the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation in the light of the guidelines issued by the authority concerned in Letter No.142/4/2012-AVD.I dated 28.07.2014 and pass orders in accordance with law. It is made clear, that I have not expressed my opinion with regard to the claim made by the petitioner in his representation. Such an exercise shall be completed within a period of 8 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With these observations, the Criminal Original Petition stands closed.
