2 The petitioner has filed this writ petition, praying for the issue of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's joint application dated 8.5.2015 for the transfer of the stage carriage bus permit bearing Registration No.TN 45/BB 3789, plying on the route Dharmapuri to Ayyur.
3 The petitioner is the proposed transferee. The transferor is the person, in whose name the permit stands as on date, i.e., one Premavathi. Both the transferor and the petitioner / transferee have made a joint application for transfer of the permit on 8.5.2015. The application has been https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
entertained and the respondent also afforded an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner on 29.6.2015. However, on the said date, the matter has been adjourned sine die, without ascertaining the further date of hearing. Therefore, the petitioner, having waited for almost one year, has approached this court by way of this writ petition. It is not known as to why the respondent, after the case was adjourned on 29.6.2015, did not come with any fresh date nor pass orders. 4 In the light of the above facts, there shall be a direction to the respondent to consider the petitioner's joint application dated 8.5.2015, afford one more opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as the transferor and pass orders on merit and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. -s/d- Assistant Registrar True Copy Sub-Assistant Registrar vvk To The Regional Transport Authority, Dharmapuri.
