Prayer :- Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 to 5 particularly the 2nd respondent herein to convene a peace committee meeting among the villagers of the Vadakku Colony, Ko Adanur Village, Virudhachalam Taluk, Cuddalore District and permit the petitioner and family to celebrate the 8th

day of Aadi festival for Sri Muthu Mariamman Temple, Vadakku Colony, Ko-Adanur Village, Virudhachalam Taluk, Cuddalore District.

Heard Ms.S.S.Jhothivani, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Ms. P.Rajalakshmi, learned Government Advocate appearing for the first to third respondents.

2. The petitioner sought for a direction to convene peace committee meeting to celebrate festival in the tamil month "Aadi" 2014.

3. Since the festival is already over, nothing survives in this Writ Petition and accordingly this Writ Petition is closed. However, if the petitioner intends to celebrate festival in the subsequent year, it is open to the petitioner to approach the appropriate authority. Consequently connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
