PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, calling for the records of the detention order in C.M.P.No.25/Goonda/2025/M1 dated 23.03.2025 on the file of the Second Respondent herein and quash the same and direct the Respondents herein to produce the body or in person of the detenue Manikandan, S/o.Jagadeesan, Hindu aged about 31 years, who is now confined in central prison, Salem, before this Court and set him at liberty. When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the petitioner, as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents, by producing a copy of the Government Order in G.O.Rt.No.2666, Home, Prohibition and Excise (XIV) Department, dated 13.05.2025, submitted that the detention order has already been revoked.
2. Recording the said submission, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands dismissed as infructuous.
