ORDER
This writ petition has been filed for issue of writ of mandamus directing the respondents to reclassify the subject land as grama natham as per G.O.Ms.No.1143, dated 01.12.1995, within the time frame fixed by this Court. 2.Heard Mr.M.Raja Sekhar, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.A.Selvendran, learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents.
3.The petitioner is claiming right and title over the subject property by virtue of a registered the Sale Deed dated 21.09.2021. The petitioner is also placing reliance upon the assignment patta that has been granted on 01.12.1995. The petitioner is placing reliance upon G.O.Ms.No.1143 dated 01.12.1995. The petitioner submitted a representation requesting for the reclassification of the subject land from Meikal promboke to Grama Natham. The petitioner has also paid the necessary charges requesting the 5 th respondent to conduct survey of the subject land. The petitioner was asked to move the office of the 2 nd
4/6 respondent seeking for reclassification and a representation was given by the petitioner to the office of the 2 nd respondent on 18.07.2023. The same was not acted upon and it is under these circumstances, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.
4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the 2 nd and 3 rd respondents to act upon the representation made by the petitioner on 18.07.2023, on its own merits and in accordance with law and take a decision, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 5.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.
