Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 at once to cancel the Patta in the name of the 5th Respondent in respect of the land measuring Acre 0.50 cents comprised in Survey No. 458 /4B at No. 145, Seempuram Village in Ponneri Taluk, Thiruvallur District and to issue the patta for the said land in the name of the petitioner. ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents 1 to 4 to cancel the Patta in the name of the 5th Respondent in respect of the land measuring Acre 0.50 cents comprised in Survey No. 458 /4B at No. 145, Seempuram Village in Ponneri Taluk, Thiruvallur District and to issue the patta for the said land in the name of the petitioner.

2. The main grievance of the writ petitioner is that the property is a private property and only in the UDR proceedings, patta has been wrongly classified. In this regard, the petitioner has given a representation on 22.07.2022, which is pending without consideration. Hence, this writ petition.

3. By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

4. Heard both sides and perused the materials placed on record.

5. Considering the limited relief sought for in this writ petition, this Court without going into the merits of the case directs the respondents 1 to 4 to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.07.2022 and pass appropriate orders on its own merits and in accordance with law after giving notice to any other interested persons. Such exercise shall be completed within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.
