[ Respondents] Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pass orders on the representation of petitioner dated 21/07/08 for the regularization of the purchase of lands in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.565/ ULC-I / Revenue Department dated 26.09.2008 situated at Pallikaranai Village Subha Nagar comprised in Survey No.725/ 2A and 725/1 in Tambaram Taluk now Sholinganallur Taluk Kancheepuram District.

ORDER

Mr.P.V.Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the main writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to pass orders on the representation dated 21/07/08 for regularization of the purchase of lands in accordance with G.O.Ms.No.565/ ULC-I / Revenue Department dated 26.09.2008 situated at Pallikaranai Village, Subha Nagar, comprised in Survey No.725/ 2A and 725/1 in Tambaram Taluk now Sholinganallur Taluk, Kancheepuram District.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that inspite of the petitioner's representation dated 21.07.2008, the 1st respondent has not passed any order so far.

4. Mr.P.V.Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the 1st respondent may be directed to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation in accordance with law.

5. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.07.2008 and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after giving an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner.
