By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The case of the petitioner is that after retiring from Indian Army, he was appointed as Army Guard in the second respondent Bank on 21.03.1990 and his basic pay was fixed at Rs.815/-.

3. The grievance expressed by the petitioner is that his junior one Mr.Bose, who is working in Bank of India, Coonoor Branch is receiving a sum of Rs.1,039/- per month and since the petitioner's pay is very low, he submitted a representation dated 16.04.2014 to fix the basic pay at Rs.1039/- which is not considered and hence the present writ petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. Heard the submissions of Mr.S.Arivazhagan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.S.Arul, learned counsel appearing for the respondents.

5. Though the petitioner, prayed for a larger relief, this Court, in the light of the facts and circumstances, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 16.04.2014 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken by them to the petitioner.
