This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 30.11.2021, seeking mutation of patta in respect of his lands in S.Nos.14/1B & 15/2 at M.Kalipatti Village, Mettur Taluk.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the 1st respondent and perused the materials available on record.

3. Learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the 1st respondent, on instructions, submitted that as against the decree in A.S.No.59 of 2017 in respect of the subject properties, S.A.No.603 of 2022 is pending on the file of this Court.

4. In such view of the matter, any decision with regard to the mutation of patta, shall be in tune with the judgment in S.A.No.603 of 2022. In the event of the petitioner succeeding in the said litigation, the 2/4

authorities concerned shall mutate the revenue records, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 07.06.2024 gya Index : Yes/No To The Tahsildar Taluk Office Mettur, Salem District 3/4
