The petitioner was initially appointed as Police Constable. Since he failed to join duty after the leave period, proceedings were initiated against him. The petitioner was also suspended from service. The petitioner was ultimately dismissed from service. The said order was challenged before this Court in W.P.No.11625 of 2011. The writ petition was allowed and the punishment was modified. The petitioner was reinstated pursuant to the said order. Thereafter, the petitioner was given promotion as Head Constable by order dated 24.01.2014. The petitioner submitted a representation on 03.12.2014 requesting the first respondent to promote him to the post of Special Sub-Inspector. Since the said representation was not taken up for consideration, the petitioner is before this Court.
2. The first respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 03.12.2014 on merits and as per law. Such exercise shall be completed within a https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
3. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
