..Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 for granting patta to the petitioners in respect of the properties viz., measuring 55 Cents comprising Survey No.348/2A, and Punja land situated at No.76, Sirukalathur Village, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Chingleput District, Tamil Nadu, S.No.346, 348/1, 349 and 350/2 totalling 2.50 Acres pursuant to the representation dated 05.12.2018 made by the Petitioners. Writ petition has been filed in the nature of mandamus seeking examination of representation dated 05.12.2018 made by the petitioners herein seeking grant of Patta with respect to the properties measuring 55 cents in Survey No. 348/2A and punja land situated at Sirukulathur Village, Sriperumbudur Taluk, Chengalpattu District in Survey No.346,348/1,349 and 350/2 totally measuring 2.50 Acres. The said representation was made by the petitioners after disposal of the W.A.No. 2394 & 2395/2011 in which the petitioners herein were the appellants, which appeal had been preferred against common order in W.P.Nos.8150/2004 and 8151/2004. The judgement which was reserved in the said writ appeals was pronounced on 10.11.2017, and the order in the writ petitions were reversed and the petitioners right and title were recognised. Thereafter, the petitioners had as aforesaid given the said representation, but unfortunately the respondents appeared not to have taken any further action.

I am informed by Mr.KMD.Muhilan, learned Government Advocate that the respondents have forwarded the papers for filing a Special Leave Petition before the Hon'ble Supreme Court against the order in the aforementioned Writ Appeals. Further, as on date there is no impediment, But, at any rate, let the respondents examine the representation of the petitioners, call the petitioner for enquiry, examine the records, examine the land holding and thereafter take a considered decision with respect to the said representation. An obligation is placed on the 1st respondent to ensure that an enquiry is conducted and orders are passed within a period of 24 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

3. With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
