Government-aided and unaided schools in Tamil Nadu imparting Samacheer, CBSE, ICSE Education etc. shall strictly comply with Part IV - Fire & Life Safety and the Code of Practice of Fire Safety in Educational Institutions (IS 14435:1997) of the Bureau of Indian Standards enumerated in National Building Code 2005 as directed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court of India in W.P.No.W.P. (Civil) No.483 of 2004.

(Made by HULUVADI G.RAMESH, J.) The petitioner is not represented by counsel. Today, when this matter was taken up, the petitioner was absent. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 has submitted that the prayer as sought for by the petitioner has been complied with by the respondents and hence the matter in the writ petition has become infructuous.

2.Recording the above statement made by the learned Special Government Pleader, the writ petition is closed. No costs. Consequently the connected miscellaneous petitions are also closed.
