Mr.K.Azhaguraman, learned Standing Counsel for SDAT takes notice for the respondents.

2. With the consent of learned counsel on either side, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner preferred an appeal before the first respondent, namely the appellate authority, on 12.03.2021 and the said appeal is still pending. Therefore, he seeks a direction to the first respondent to pass orders on the appeal filed by the petitioner within a time frame.

4. Mr.K.Azhaguraman, learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents, submitted before this Court that the first respondent will conclude the appeal proceedings and will pass suitable orders on merit. 2/4

5. Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to conclude the appeal proceedings and pass suitable orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. This writ petition is disposed of accordingly. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
