Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.06.2017 for extension of his services as Assistant Professor till the end of the academic year in accordance with law within a stipulated time.

Admittedly, the Writ Petitioner is continuing in service and he is due to retire on 31st July 2017 on attaining the age of superannuation. The present Writ Petition is filed with prayer seeking direction, to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.06.2017 for extension of service as Assistant Professor till end of the academic year.
2. This Writ Petition is premature, in view of the fact that the writ petitioner is continuing in service and no decision has been taken by the respondent in this regard. Thus, the present Writ Petition is filed only on the basis of mere apprehension and the writ petitioner cannot be considered as an aggrieved person, so as to move this Court by filing a Writ Petition under Section 226 of the Constitution of India. the writ petition is premature and accordingly, stands dismissed. No Costs.
