Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a issuance of a Writ of Certiorari calling for the records relating to the impugned Notification of the first respondent herein in G.O.Ms.No.92 Energy Department dated 30.07.2012 in so far as it relates to the petitioner's land is concerned of an extent of 0.03.0 Hectares in Survey No.61/2 of Vedal Village, Cheyyur Taluk, Kancheepuram District and all subsequent proceedings pursuant thereto and quash the same. In this case, petitioner challenges the Land Acquisition taken place under the Tamil Nadu Acquisition of Lands for Industrial Purposes Act, 1997 which was undertaken by the respondents for Ultra Mega Power Project at Cheyyur Taluk, Kancheepuram District. Subsequently, in this case, an interim award was passed and it was challenged by the petitioner in W.P.No.27124 of 2016, in which this Court vide its order dated 30.01.2018 has quashed the award and remanded the matter back to the Land Acquisition Authority to pass fresh award as per the principle statutorily provided under the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (Central Act, 30 of 2013).
2. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the order passed by this Court dated 30.01.2018 in the aforesaid Writ Petition, the present Writ Petition has become infructuous.
3. In view of the statement made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is disposed of as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petitions are closed.
