Challenging the impugned show cause notice dated 31.10.2017 issued by the third respondent / the Dean, Anna University Regional Campus, Coimbatore, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

2. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that for the post of Executive Assistant (Administration) held by the petitioner, the competent authority is only the Head of the Department. However, in the present case, the third respondent / Dean has issued the impugned show https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

cause notice without any authority, therefore, the same is not sustainable.

3. In reply, Mr.L.P.Shanmugasundaran, learned Special Government Pleader, after taking notice and getting instructions, submitted that the respondents will withdraw the impugned show cause notice and thereafter, the competent authority will do the needful, for which liberty is sought for.

4. Recording the above said submission of the learned Special Government Pleader, the writ petition is disposed of. Liberty is granted as prayed for. It is made clear that the respondents shall not proceed further on the basis of the present impugned show cause notice. No Costs. WMP.No.30934 of 2017 is closed.
