This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to issue genuineness certificate sought for by the petitioner, as a result of which the document presented for registration is kept as a pending document in P.No.144 of 2021.
2. Heard Mr.S.Ilamvaludhi, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.G.Velu, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents.
3. The petitioner claims to be the owner of the subject property. The further case of the petitioner is that the patta was standing in the name of his mother. When this property was sought to be dealt with, the second respondent had kept the document pending and sought for a genuineness certificate from the first respondent. 4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction 2/4
to the first respondent to immediately act upon the request made by the petitioner with respect to the genuineness certificate regarding the patta issued for the subject property and necessary report shall be submitted before the second respondent within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On receipt of the same, the second respondent shall proceed further and complete the registration forthwith. This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
