O R D E R

The petitioner herein seeks police protection for conducting the 16th Day Festival to "Draupathi Amman Temple" followed by "Aravan Kalabali".

2. Due to dispute between two groups, the police has not taken any decision sofar and referred the matter to the Revenue Divisional Officer to conduct Peace Committee Meeting and report the same.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner states that the 16th day of Festival of "Aravan Kalabali" scheduled to be conducted on 01.07.2024 and a direction may be given to the Police to get a report from the Revenue Divisional Officer and permit them to conduct the festival.

4. Considering the rival submissions, it is suffice to direct the respondents police to arrange for Peace Committee Meeting through RDO before 01.07.2024 and take a decision on the request made by the petitioner for providing protection to conduct the festival.
