The prayer sought for in the present petition is to withdraw and transfer the complaint dated 01.09.2017 pending on the file of the 1st respondent to the file of the 2nd respondent and direct the 2nd respondent to depute an investigation officer to conduct fair investigation and file a final report.

2. Since the property involved in this case is worth more than 50 lakhs the appropriate authority to conduct investigation of the compliant is Central Crime Branch, Chennai. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) submitted that pursuant to the complaint a case has been registered on the file of the first respondent herein, in FIR No.2480 of 2017.

3. In the circumstances, this Court directs transfer of FIR No.2480 of 2017 from the file of first respondent police to the file of the Central Crime Branch, Chennai. The present Criminal Original Petition stands closed.
