ORDER : The Court Made the following order :- The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 10.06.2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 324, 392, 307 and 506(ii) of IPC r/w Section 3(1) of TNPPDL Act in crime No.591 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that on 10.06.2022, the petitioner waylaid the defacto complainant and demanded money and snatched Rs.1,000/- from the defacto complainant and damaged his petty shop. Hence, the case.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays for grant of bail to the petitioner. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
4. The Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police would submit that the petitioner, on the occurrence day, robbed Rs.1,000/- from the defacto complainant. He would further submit that there is a proposal pending for detaining the petitioner under Goondas Act. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.
5. It is seen that a proposal for detaining the petitioner under Goondas Act is pending. Further, the petitioner was arrested only on 10.06.2022. Therefore, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
