K.Ajithkumar Respondents Prayer:- This Writ Petition has been filed, under Article 222 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st Respondent to consider the representation of the Petitioner, dated 27.04.2023 and to appoint the Petitioner in the post of Assistant to Village Administrative Officer, Vazhaipanthal Village.

ORDER

1. This Writ Petition has been filed to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st Respondent to consider the representation of the Petitioner, dated 27.04.2023 and to appoint him in the post of Assistant to Village Administrative Officer, Vazhaipanthal Village.

2. This Court heard the learned counsel for the Petitioner and the learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the Respondents 1 and 2. 1/3

3. The grievance of the Petitioner, who is an handicapped candidate, is that he has made an application for appointment to the post of Village Assistant and he was not selected and thereafter, he has sent a representation, dated 27.04.2023 to the 1st Respondent and the same was not considered.

4. The learned Government Advocate for the Respondents 1 and 2 has submitted that the representation of the Petitioner was disposed of on 22.05.2023, by the 2nd Respondent, rejecting the application of the Petitioner, seeking appointment to the post of Village Assistant on the ground that he is over aged than the prescribed age limit and produced the proceedings of the 2nd Respondent, dated 22.05.2023 to that effect.

5. Recording the submissions of the learned Government Advocate, the learned Government Advocate is directed to furnish a copy of the proceedings of the 2nd Respondent, dated 22.05.2023 to the Petitioner. The Petitioner is at liberty to challenge the said proceedings, in a manner known to law.

6. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, the connected WMP is closed.
