ORDER

The petitioner seeks for a mandamus to direct the respondent to return the petitioner's impounded passport bearing Passport No.Z3308837 within a timeframe fixed by this Court. 2.When the matter was taken up for admission, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent sought time to get instruction. Accordingly, the matter was adjourned and listed today for further hearing. Learned counsel for the respondent, however, is not in a position to get any instruction from the respondent.

3.The case of the petitioner is that his passport issued on 07.12.2015, was impounded on 16.06.2016, by issuing an intimation letter. It is Sates that, after furnishing an explanation to the show cause notice, the impounded processing on the petitioner passport was stopped and however, the passport is not returned to the petitioner so far. 14.08.2017, seeking for return of the passport. The said representation has not been considered so far. Therefore, this writ petition is disposed of, by directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 14.08.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
