Respondent Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 25.09.2015.

ORDER

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

The petitioner would state that she was working as Teacher for the last 18 years and was promoted to the post of Headmaster and at present, she is working in that capacity in P.U.Primary Educational School, Kilachipuram, Kadaladi Union, Ramanathapuram District for the past 6 years. She would further state that she is having 2 daughters, one studying +2 and the younger one is studying in 8th standard in Arupukottai and she is leading her life without the support of her husband who has deserted her about 10 years back. She would further state that on account of family circumstances, she is going to the place of work by undertaking bus journey from Arupukottai which takes 4 to 5 hours and in this regard, she has submitted number of representations to the respondent seeking her transfer to T.Vepakulam School and since no orders have been passed, she came forward to file this writ petition. This Court heard the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.N.Srinivasan, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 25.09.2015 on merits and in accordance with law and pass orders within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.

The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
