Prayer: This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st to 4th Respondents to Survey and fix the boundaries of the Petitioners property situated at Kattur Village in Thiruvarur Taluk at Thiruvarur District, comprised in Survey No. 120/13B1B measuring an extent of 6 areas within a time frame to be fixed by this Honble Court and consequently direct the 5 to 7th Respondents to Provide adequate Police protection at the time of Conducting the Survey. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.03.2026.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner has made a representation dated 13.03.2026 to conduct survey and fix boundary stone in her property situated at Kattur Village in Thiruvarur Taluk at Thiruvarur District, comprised in Survey No.120/13B1B, measuring an extent of 6 ares. However, the same was not considered, as on date. Hence, this writ petition.

3. Ms.Inthu Karunakaran, learned Government's Counsel accepts notice

on behalf of the respondents and submitted that the petitioner's representation dated 13.03.2026 will be considered within a period of eight weeks.

4. Heard the learned counsel on either side and perused the materials available on record.

5. Considering the limited relief sought by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 13.03.2026 and carry out a survey and complete the process, after giving prior notice to the petitioner and other aggrieved parties, if any, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is open to the third respondent to request for police protection before jurisdictional police. If any such request is made, the jurisdictional police is directed to provide an adequate police protection for conducting the survey.

6. It is made clear that this order is passed only for the purpose of issuing a direction to the official respondent to conduct a survey and lay boundary stones at the subject land. In the event any dispute arises regarding the title over the subject property, the same has to be decided by way of filing a suit before the competent Civil Court.

7. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
