Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondent Nos.1 to 3 to consider the representation made by the petitioner and to provide house site patta to the petitioner in Survey No.220/2 situated 240 Ponniamman Koil Street, Vinnamangalam Village and Post, Cheyyar Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District in the light of the Government Order in Revenue Department in G.O.Ms.No.318 dated 30.08.2019.

With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

This writ petition is filed to direct the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner and to provide house site patta to the petitioner in Survey No.220/2 situated 240 Ponniamman Koil Street, Vinnamangalam Village and Post, Cheyyar Taluk, Tiruvannamalai District in the light of the Government Order in Revenue Department in G.O.Ms.No.318 dated 30.08.2019.
3. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents and perused the materials available on record.
4. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is in possession and enjoyment of subject property along with her family for the past 50 years. The grievance of the petitioner is that though she had made a representation to the respondents on 03.11.2023 for granting patta in favour of the petitioner, the same has not been considered by the them. Hence, the present Writ Petition.
5. Considering the limited prayer sought for in the Writ Petition, without 2/4
going into the merits of the case, the respondents are directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 03.11.2023 and pass Order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of the Order.
