(Order of the Court was made by M.S.RAMESH, J.) The above writ petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents to grant ordinary leave for 30 days without escort to the detenu, Rameshkumar, S/o.Dharman, aged about 37 years, convict prisoner, bearing Convict No.22520 confined at Central Prison, Coimbatore.

2.The petitioner's request for grant of ordinary leave for her husband has not been favourably recommended by the Probation Officer. Since, it is stated by the local police during enquiry that the complainant is a close neighbour of the petitioner and in case leave is granted to her husband, there could be a law and order problem in the area, apart from safety to the prisoner's life.

3.In view of the negative report of the Probation Officer, we are not inclined to consider the prayer sought for in the above writ petition. This petition stands dismissed accordingly. No costs.
