Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent herein to return the petitioner's original driving license (D.L.No.TN27 Y 20030000865) to the petitioner.

O R D E R

This Writ petition is filed by the driver of private Transport Service, who was involved in a road accident causing death of two wheeler driver.

2. The first respondent has initiated action against the petitioner herein under Section 19(i) of the Motor Vehicles Act for suspending his driving license. However, unaware of the proceedings, the petitioner has approached this Court seeking mandamus for return of his driving license.

3. Since it is brought to the notice of the petitioner as well as this Court that, the first respondent has initiated proceedings under Section 19(i) of the Motor Vehicles Act for cancellation/suspension of his driving license. It is the second https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent herein to consider the representation dated 31.05.2019 given by the petitioner herein, taking it as the explanation in the show cause notice and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks. The petitioner if desires to add anything more to his representation dated 31.05.2019 he is given liberty to do so within a period of seven days from today.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
