The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that, on earlier occasion, the very same demand was challenged before this Court in W.P.No.4072 of 2016. This Court, while dismissing the Writ Petition on 19.01.2022 directed the Tamil Nadu Housing Board to complete the exercise of fixing the fair rent and calculation of arrears of rent etc., which was challenged before this Court in W.A.No.333 of 2022 and the same is pending.

However, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would further submit that this Court, on 24.05.2023, had granted interim order of stay on condition that the petitioner shall pay a sum of Rs.25,00,000/- (Rupees Twenty Five Lakhs only) to the respondent. Pursuant to the interim order, the petitioner had complied with the said condition. That apart, the

petitioner is also ready to pay another sum of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only) to the respondent within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In view of the above, the interim order already granted by this Court is made absolute.
