ORDER

The relief sought for in this writ petition is for a direction to the 2nd respondent, Registrar, Anna University to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on 16th November 2015 and to pass orders.

It is the claim of the petitioner that after she was appointed as a Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry, Anna University, Thiruchirappalli on 25.09.2009, pursuant to the enactment of the Tamil Nadu University Laws (Amendment and Repeal) Act, 2011 and by virtue of G.O.Ms.No.452, Higher Education (II) Department dated 20.10.2015, the teaching and non-teaching staff in University Departments and Constituent https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Colleges of erstwhile Anna Universities of Technology functioning at Thiruchirapalli, Coimbatore, Tirunelveli and Chennai along with 13 constituent colleges and 2 regional offices were merged with Anna University, Chennai. Therefore, all the staff of the erstwhile universities and institutions became the staff of Anna University. Consequently, the list of eligible staff members who were absorbed in Anna University was published. But the status of the petitioner has not been made known inspite of repeated representations. Hence she seeks for disposal of her representation dated 16th November 2015, which is pending before the second respondent.

In view of the restricted prayer sought for in this writ petition, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 1st February 2016 and 12th September 2016 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

With these observations, the writ petition stands disposed of. No Costs.
