JUDGMENT
(Judgment of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.) When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned counsel for the respondent submits that the sole respondent had died and therefore, the challenge against the order under appeal granting the relief prayed for by the respondent seeking promotion, does not survive for adjudication anymore. The learned counsel for the respondent further submits that the respondent was already satisfied with the monetary benefits received from the Department and no further claim of any other benefits for the services rendered by the deceased respondent has been sought for.
Recording the aforesaid submission of the learned counsel for the respondent, the writ appeal stands dismissed as abated. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed. (D.K.K., J.) (K.B., J.) 18.06.2024 Index :
