Prayer in both W.Ps.: Writ Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Certiorari to call for records relating to the impugned proceedings of the 1st respondent order in G.O.Ms.No.125 Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (E5) Department dated 21.09.2015 quash the same in so far as it relates to the killiyanallur Panchayat and Kariyamanickam Panchayat, respectively in Tiruchirapalli District.

Government Advocates C O M M O N O R D E R The relief sought for in these writ petitions is to call for the records in relation to the impugned proceedings issued by the first respondent in G.O.Ms.No.125, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj (E5) Department, dated 21.09.2015.

2. The impugned G.O.Ms.No.125 relates to the creation of 120 posts of Village Panchayats Development Officer in the cadre of Assistant in the Village Panchayat having annual income of Rs.1.00 Crore in 26 Districts.

3. However, these writ petitions have been filed by the erstwhile President of the Panchayat. The President seized to be the President of the Panchayat and the Special Officers are appointed. Thus, no further adjudication needs to be entertained in respect of the grounds raised in these writ petitions.

4. Further, the erstwhile President cannot maintain these writ petitions in respect of the creation post of Village Panchayat Development Officers. Thus, these Writ Petitions stand closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
