With the consent of the learned counsel appearing on either side, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2.Petitioner is the Ward Member of Varahur Village Panchayat, Thimiri Panchayat Union and the third respondent is the President of the said Village Panchayat Union. Initially, the cheque signing power of the third respondent was taken away by the second respondent and thereafter by an order dated 14.02.2014 passed by the second respondent, with a severe warning, the third respondent of let off without imposing any punishment. As against the said order, the petitioner herein preferred a Revision before the first respondent under section 219 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 on 7.4.2014. Till date the said Revision has not been disposed of. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

3.Heard Mr.B.Gopalakrishnan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mrs.M.E.Rani Selvam, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 & 2. No notice is required at this stage to the third respondent, as this Court is going to direct the first respondent to dispose of the Revision filed by the petitioner, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the third respondent. 4.Therefore, taking into consideration of the filing of the Revision filed by the petitioner under section 219 of the Tamil Nadu Panchayats Act, 1994 on 7.4.2014, it is appropriate to direct the first respondent to consider the said Revision Petition and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and the third respondent.
