Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Certiorari calling for the records of the 2nd respondent leading up to the 5th respondent's second order in pursuant to the first order in CGRF Petition No.11 of 2017 was received by the petitioner on 03.05.2018 and 07.04.2018 respectively and quash the same as illegal and invalid.

ORDER

This writ petition is directed against the impugned order passed in CGRF Petition No.11 of 2017 holding that the petitioner accepted the consumption, but asked to levy only two years as per Section 56(2) of the Tamil Nadu Electricity Act.

2. On the basis of the petitioner's admission, the impugned order has been passed. The penultimate paragraph of the impugned order also shows that if the petitioner is not satisfied with the order, he has an option to file an appeal to the OMBUDSMAN, No.19A, Rukmini Lakshmipathy Salai (TIDCO Complex), Egmore, Chennai-8, as per Regulation No.8 of Electricity Laws in Tamil Nadu, which is extracted hereunder: "8.Appeal Any person aggrieved by an order made by the forum may prefer an appeal against such order to the Electricity OMBUDSMAN within a period of 30 days from the date of the order, in such forum and manner as may be prescribed by the Commission."

3. Therefore, the petitioner has to approach only the Electricity OMBUDSMAN within 30 days from the date of the order. This Court is not inclined to entertain the writ petition. Hence, this writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
