A complaint registered for the offences under Section 294(b), 336, 324 of I.P.C registered on 06.01.2010 was taken cognizance by the trial Court, after seven years in C.C.No.599 of 2017. Since service to the accused persons two in number is not completed and for other reasons, the trial has not yet commenced. Citing prolong delay, the present petition is filed to quash the case.

2. This Court finds that there is some force in the submission but it is not suffice to quash the complaint which has already taken cognizance by the Magistrate. In view of the prima facie material to try the offenders though offence may be trivial in nature of causing simple hurt. Therefore, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with a specific direction to the trial Court to expedite the trial and complete it within a period of two months, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
