Respondents Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to consider and pass orders on the representation dated 22.05.2018 seeking cancellation of recognition of the 4th respondent Association by and after affording an opportunity to it and to pass orders on merits and as per law within a time to be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner is serving as a Deputy Inspector of Local Fund Audit and in view of the defunct of the 4th respondent association, the petitioner has been facing various hurdles in getting promotion to the higher post. Therefore, he has given representations on 03.01.2018 and 10.04.2018 to the first respondent not to entertain the fourth respondent Association as the same become defunct from December 2017. It is also submitted that unless the fourth respondent, which became defunct Association, is allowed to take part in an official meeting with the first respondent, the fourth respondent is not entitled to represent in this regard and the representations given by the petitioner is also required to be considered by the first respondent.

2. Mr.V.Jayaprakash Narayanan, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 sought time to consider the petitioner's representations.

4. Considering the limited scope of the prayer without going into the merits of the matter, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 03.01.2018 and 10.04.2018 after affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
