The petitioners, who apprehend arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 294(b), 323 and 506(i) of I.P.C. in Crime No. Not known of 2023, seek anticipatory bail.
2. Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent Police submitted that the petition enquiry is pending against the petitioners in C.S.R. No.300 of 2023 on the file of respondent police.
3. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. However, the respondent Police is directed to complete the enquiry, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this
order and if any prima facie case is made out against the petitioners, the respondent police shall register the First Information Report or close the petition enquiry.
