Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to issue a new family card to the petitioner viz. P.Duraisamy Son of Periyasamy residing at North Street, Melnariyappur Village & Post, Chinnasalem Taluk, Villupuram District as per the applications submitted on 19.01.2012 the petitioner Application No.76/2012 and based on the petitioner representation dated 08.06.2016 and pass order on the same within a responsible time. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner claims that he is the permanent resident of North Street, Melnariyappur Village and Post, Chinnasalem Taluk, Villupuram District. He made application for issuance of new family card/ ration card enclosing all necessary documents in Application No.76 of 2012, dated 19.01.2012 and since no response is forthcoming, submitted representation to the second https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

respondent on 08.06.2016 and since no orders have been passed, came forward to file this writ petition.

3.Heard the submissions of Mr.P.Rajavel, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4.Though the petitioner prayed for the larger relief, this Court in the light of the facts and circumstances, directs the second respondent to consider the petitioner's Application No.76 of 2012, dated 19.01.2012 and his representation dated 08.06.2016, in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
