ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed, directing the second respondent to take action on the petitioner's representation dated 04.06.2018 made for arranging Grievance Redressal Meeting of the farmers of Karaikal District every month's first Monday.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that, in the Union Territory of Puducherry, no Grievance Redressal Meeting was

conducted for the farmers. Therefore, the petitioner made a representation dated 04.06.2018, to the second respondent requesting to conduct the Grievance Redressal Meeting for the farmers. However, no order has been passed by the second respondent considering the representation of the petitioner.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader would submit that the petitioner's request will be considered on merits in accordance with law.

4. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

5. Upon hearing, it appears that, the petitioner approached the second respondent requesting to conduct the Grievance Redressal Meeting of the farmers. The farmers are certainly entitled to address their grievances before the respondents, for which, the respondents supposed to have arrange the grievance meeting so as to enable them to address their grievance. If no such meeting is conducted, it is not possible to express their grievances and the farmers would face great difficulty to address their grievances.

6. In such view of the matter, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 04.06.2018 and arrange the Grievance Redressal Meeting of the farmers periodically.

7. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
