Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st Respondent to consider and dispose of the Petitioner's revision Petition dated 05.09.2020 for issuance of issue community Certificate to the Petitioner by mentioning ''Konda Reddis'' Community which is comes under the Scheduled Tribes Caste List within the stipulated time by this Hon'ble Court. (Order of the Court was made by M. SATHYANARAYANAN, J.) Heard the submissions of the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the official respondents. 2.The petitioner's request for issuance of "Hindu Scheduled Tribe Konda Reddis" Community Certificate came to be rejected by the Revenue Divisional Officer vide proceedings dated 20.09.2019. A challenge made to the said order in the form of appeal, came to be rejected vide proceedings of the District Collector, dated 19.08.2020. The petitioner, aggrieved by the said proceedings, preferred a revision before the 1st respondent, and since it is kept pending for quite long time, came forward to file this writ petition.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that, for want of Hindu Scheduled Tribe Community Certificate, the petitioner is put to untold suffering and hardship, and prays for appropriate orders for earlier disposal of the said revision application.

4.Per contra, Mr.R.Vijayakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader, appearing for the official respondents, has drawn the attention of this Court to the counter affidavit, and would submit that, since various records have to be called for, it is taking time and prays for fixation of an outer time limit so as to enable the 1st respondent to take a call on the revision application filed by the petitioner.

5.This Court has carefully considered the rival submissions and also perused the materials placed before it.

6.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner, and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioner either in his revision application or in the present writ petition, directs the 1st respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's revision application, dated 05.09.2020, on merits and in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order/uploading of this order in the website, and communicate the decision taken to the petitioner.
