This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider petitioner's representation dated 05.09.2020 consequently direct the respondent to give electricity connection to the petitioner's house bearing Door No.13-A, 1st Main Road, Kovalan Nagar, Pallikaranai in S.No.485/1, 29 Pallikaranai Village. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for issue of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 05.09.2020 and to grant electricity connection to the residence of the petitioner. 2.Mr.P.Gunaraj, learned standing counsel, appearing on behalf of the respondents submitted that the petitioner will have to make an on-line application before the Assistant Engineer, Pallikaranai, Chennai, since the property in question belongs to the Government. The learned counsel submitted that as and when the application is given by the petitioner, the same will be considered, strictly in accordance with law. 3.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner is directed to make a formal application before the Assistant Engineer, Pallikaranai, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Chennai, and the concerned authority on receipt of the application, shall deal with the same strictly in accordance with law and take a decision as expeditiously as possible. 4.This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
