This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the Respondent to consider and dispose of the representation dated 18.08.2020 and 01.09.2020 and consequently, direct the respondent to allot the alternate shop at Vanagaram for the purpose of doing flower business. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for the issue of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 18.08.2020 and 01.09.2020, wherein the petitioner has requested the respondent to allot a space at Vanagaram, wherein a licence had been granted to run the flower market as an alternative arrangement till the Koyambedu Market is opened. 2.

Mr.Velmurugan, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the respondent submitted that the flower market is run at Vanagaram by the Flower Market Association and the respondent has no control over the same. The learned counsel further submitted that the petitioner can always approach the association and ask for permission to run the flower shop. The learned counsel further submitted that the respondent is yet to take a decision with regard to opening of the flower market in the Koyambedu Complex.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the specific stand taken by the respondent, this Court cannot issue any direction to the respondent to grant licence to the petitioner to run his flower business at Vanagaram. It is always left open to the petitioner to approach the association and get their https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

permission to do the business at Vanagaram. Except giving this liberty, no further orders can be passed in this Writ Petition.

This Writ Petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
