ORDER

Heard Mr.B.Ram Prabhu, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.P.V.Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader accepting notice on behalf of the respondents.

2.The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking for issuance of writ of mandamus to direct the second respondent to receive his Application for grant of Auto Rickshaw permit and to consider the same and pass appropriate orders. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that there is a need for more Auto Rickshaws on account of the fact that several existing permit holders have stopped their operations and surrendered their Permits.

4.In any event, as the petitioner's application has not been received by the second respondent, without going into the merits of the case as projected by the petitioner, there will be a direction to the second respondent to receive the petitioner's application, consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

weeks from the date on which the application is presented, along with the copy of this order.

The writ petition is disposed of on the above terms. No costs.
